The Dallas office of FKP Architects continues rapid growth and adds two young design professionals on the path toward architecture licensure.
Dallas, TX, August 13, 2015 –(PR.com)– FKP Architects is pleased to announce the recent hires of two new Design Techs in the firm’s expanding Dallas office. In this role, early design professionals build their experience on project teams executing documentation, performing design studies, translating sketches into 3D computer models, and producing visuals for project meetings and presentations. The Design Tech role is a growth-oriented position, and many who begin in this role are on the path to becoming a licensed architect. FKP supports all of its Design Techs through the licensure process by providing study time and materials, and a hands-on learning environment to build a professional portfolio.
The newest Design Techs to join FKP Dallas are Ricardo Bandeira, and Jalyn McDowell.
“We are pleased to employ these creative and hard-working young professionals,” commented Richard M. Harris, Chief Operating Officer. “They bring a fresh and unique perspective to our culture; we like to say we seek the best young minds for qualities beyond their portfolios, like innovation, commitment to excellence, and teamwork.”
Ricardo Bandeira earned a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Texas at Arlington School of Architecture. He will be working from the FKP Dallas office on the Texas Hospital Presbyterian – Plano Phase II Surgery Center Expansion as well as Boston Children’s Hospital. Ricardo has always wanted to be an architect, and he enjoys traveling and is a NAUI master scuba diver.
Jalyn McDowell is an alumni of Texas Tech University. He began his career working in the Facilities Planning & Construction department for Texas Tech, where he coordinated submittals for the Jones SBC Stadium expansion project in Lubbock. As a team member for FKP’s Texas Hospital Presbyterian – Plano project, Jalyn now looks forward to specializing in healthcare design due to the project type’s inherent ability to help people.
