Real Estate Partners Sponsors Party for UCLA’s Annual Veterans and Armed Forces Appreciation Day

Nov. 9, 2006 – IRVINE, CALIF. — Real Estate Partners, Inc., a national real estate investment and management services company based in Irvine, Calif., announced today it will sponsor Yellow Ribbon America’s Tailgate Party for UCLA’s Tenth Annual Veterans & Armed Forces Appreciation Day. The event will take place this Saturday, November 11, 2006 at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, Calif., where the UCLA Bruins will host the Oregon State Beavers.

“Yellow Ribbon America’s Tailgate Party is a great way to show our appreciation to UCLA for being such ardent supporters of our veterans, active military, reservists and their families,” stated Brad White, national chairman of Yellow Ribbon America and public relations chair of the National Guard. “Moreover, we are deeply grateful to Real Estate Partners and our other corporate sponsors for making our efforts possible. It is with their support that these events are so successful in generating much needed aid for our returning troops and their families.”

In its tenth year, UCLA’s Annual Veterans & Armed Forces Appreciation Day allows all veterans and active military personnel to receive one free general admission ticket or a “buy-one, get-one free” offer on reserved tickets. To take advantage of this special savings, veterans and active military personnel must present valid identification or be in uniform at the time of ticket purchase or pick up. Tickets are available in advance by contacting the UCLA Central Ticket Office at 310-UCLA-WIN or on game day at the Rose Bowl box office, while supplies last. Last year, Operation Christmas for Our Troops II proved to be a huge success, with over 375 drop-off locations statewide. Each location had boxes available for collecting Christmas presents for our military families and DVDs and video games for our troops. Over 40,000 items were collected and sent to military families across the state. According to the Pentagon, the Operation represented the largest, most ambitious troop support effort in the nation for deployed service members.
