Pennsylvania special education lawyer recognized for organizing conferences that advance services and support for “exceptional” children.
Doylestown, PA, May 15, 2015 –(PR.com)– Pennsylvania special education law firm The Education Lawyers is pleased to announce that partner Stephen J. Jacobson has received a 2015 Special Achievement Award from the Pennsylvania Bar Association in recognition of his work planning annual Exceptional Children Conferences, the premier special education law event in Pennsylvania.
Jacobson was honored on May 8, 2015 during the PBA House of Delegates meeting at the Sheraton Philadelphia City Center Hotel. The Pennsylvania Bar Association Board selected Jacobson for the award based on his dedication and commitment to the association and to planning the annual Exceptional Children Conferences, which share the latest updates on special education related law and issues.
“Special education students and their families deserve access to the latest information available on the issues that profoundly impact their lives,” Jacobson said. “I am proud of the work we do at the Pennsylvania Bar Association to support initiatives that educate and inform attorneys, parents and advocates of the many complex issues in special education law.”
As vice chair of the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Legal Services for Exceptional Children Committee, Jacobson in 2014 helped launch an educational campaign entitled “Have a Voice in Your Exceptional Child’s Education.” The campaign aims to provide parents and guardians with an overview of special education rights in Pennsylvania.
