Belleville, IL, May 08, 2015 –(PR.com)– TreeStuff.com, a worldwide retailer of arborist supplies and tree climbing equipment, is hosting its second annual climbing competition, dubbed JAMBO (short for Jamboree). Taking place at a 75 acre summer camp outside of St. Louis repurposed specifically for JAMBO, the four day competition will crown the world’s greatest climber from 60 of the world’s best professional tree climbers. The free event also includes fun activities like a kid’s climb and a zip-line into the lake, vendor exhibits, and a free raffle with a $1000 cash prize.
With climbers competing at heights of over 75 feet, JAMBO is an acrobatic race for points through nature’s jungle-gym. “We made a climbing competition that reflects real-world professional climbing and pushes it to the extreme,” said TreeStuff.com President Luke Dunlevy. “This isn’t golf. This is an exciting and visually impactful sport that will blow you away.”
Professional tree climbers will come from around the globe to vie for the title of World’s Greatest Climber, as well as the $5000 grand prize and thousands of dollars in other prizes and merchandise. Their families, friends, and peers will be there to cheer them on, as well as enjoy free games and activities, free camping, vendor exhibits, prize giveaways, live music, and professional speakers.
Jambo is free and open to the public, June 4-7. The competition runs from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily, and various child and adult activities are open all day. The grounds will be open for camping throughout the entire event.
