VOCA2: Mentoring people with disabilities into the labour market

Nov. 15, 2006 – Do you have experience with mentoring or with easing people with disabilities into the labour market? If so then the VOCA2 project would be pleased to hear from you.
VOCA2 is an EU project partially financed by the DG Education and Culture of the European Commission under the Leonardo Da Vinci – Community Vocational Training Action Programme (Second phase: 2000-2006) and comprises 14 partners from 7 different countries. It started on the 1st of January 2006 and will end on the 31st of December 2007.
The network is developing mentor training courses for aspiring mentors who would like to help people with disabilities make a smoother transition into the labour market while also ensuring that people with disabilities maintain their job. The target group of the project are institutions of vocational training and education, teachers, people with disabilities, and the labour market. The VOCA2 partnership includes a wide range of proficiency in providing vocational training and other support into the labour market for people with disabilities. However it is recognised that a wealth of expertise lies outside its network. So if you have an interest in mentoring, or experience as a disabled person enter or re-entering the labour market or are employed in a support agency then please visit the website at www.voca.dk or better, comment directly on its planned course at the dedicated VOCA forum which you can reach via http://moodle.ghs.dk/course/view.php?id=53.
If you would need any help, please do not hesitate contacting us at voca2@e-isotis.org.
