Nov. 20, 2006 – VTN Technologies Inc (VTN), the Canada-based enterprise-wide learning platform developer, is providing sales and support services to its European customers by opening a UK office on England’s South Coast.
VTN’s operation in the UK is being headed by Bob Eades, who has a wealth of experience with learning technologies and has been involved in the learning market for more than 15 years.
“In this global economy, organisations have the advantage of choosing the very best product for their needs, irrespective of the country of origin,” commented George Uhrich, VTN’s CEO. “To support this, VTN is creating a local support centre that can provide the necessary support services.”
Uhrich believes that VTN is continuing to win new business over more established vendors because of the innovations within the Olé platform.
“We have always been proud of our independent approach to design – and clients immediately see the benefits of ‘smart graphics’ and our ‘single central database approach’ to house the learning management system (LMS), learning content management system (LCMS) and training management system (TMS),” Uhrich said. “Clients often cite user friendliness and ease of customisation as key differentiators.”
VTN has recently added Active Mind Solutions (UK), Rockwell Collins (US), Alaska Airlines (US), Verso Paper (US), Air Tindi (CAN), Alberta Government (CAN), Pacific Coastal Airlines (CAN), Sayler’s Consultancy (CAN) to its client list.
“I have seen most of the major platforms currently on the market but I am really impressed by Olé,” said Bob Eades, VTN’s Programme Manager (UK). “It is an enterprise-level product with many features I had not seen before and, with its highly competitive pricing, I expect VTN to become a growing force in the UK.”
Notes for Editors
VTN has developed the innovative Olé Online Learning Environment, which provides an enterprise-wide learning platform for Business and Government establishments. Olé is AICC and SCORM compliant and is one of the only systems that still support the file-based AICC standards. George Uhrich, VTN’s CEO is also active with the AICC working groups.
Olé can be rapidly deployed and customers can choose to implement only the features they require.
VTN’s client list includes government, aviation, military, blue chip corporations and global franchise chains.
