Nov. 23, 2006 – Last week saw Robert from the over 25’s leave after Simon Cowell decided to save Louis Walsh’s Eton Road and said “ I’m making the decision based on who I think an progress further”.

So we are now getting into the nitty gritty with just two groups (Eton Road & MacDonald Brothers), two 16-24’s (Leona & Ray), and only one from the over 25’s (Ben). That leaves Louis and Simon with two acts each and Sharon just one, but in Ben she does have one of the favourites.

In the betting Leona is now the strong fancy to become the first female winner at around 4/7 and to me she looks by far the best on show but the odds reflect this. Rocker Ben has slipped off the pace over the last few weeks and after being favourite is now around the 5/2, while group Eton Road have drifted out dramatically from 7/2 to around 12/1 after their poor display last week. Of the rest crooner Ray looks destined to leave soon and is now as big as 50/1 to go all the way, but at 20/1 The MacDonald Brothers might be worth a mention. They are by no means the best in the competition but with their massive Scottish following the voting jocks could just upset the apple cart and at around 20/1 they are worth a small saver.

In the ‘Next Eviction’ market Ray is the 10/11 favourite to leave this week, but at 4/1 the value might lie with Eton Road after they only just hung on last week.

The other market that caught the eye is the forecast betting with Leona first Ben second available at 10/11 while at a decent price Leona and MacDonald Brothers is also interesting at around 11/1.
