Habana Co. and Monmouth University Host Men’s Fashion Show December 7

Nov. 16, 2006 – WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ (November 16, 2006) Monmouth University students from Professor John S. Buzza’s entrepreneurship class have teamed up with Joe Gere, owner of Habana Co. of Manalapan, New Jersey to market and sell Habana Co.’s current Dock to Dine line of upscale casual wear geared toward men 35+. Additionally, the students have the responsibility of designing, developing, and marketing a young men’s apparel line. The end result of the semester’s efforts is a fashion show, featuring Habana Co.’s Dock to Dine line and the debut of the New Army line. The fashion show is free and open to the public and will be held on Thursday, December 7, at 7:30 p.m. at Monmouth University in Anacon Hall, Student Center.

The students learned through their market research that there is a gap in available clothing for men ages 22 to 30. The New Army clothing line is designed specifically for them. The aim of the line is to provide clothing for the ‘New Army’ of men who are entering the working world and find themselves in need of a whole new wardrobe. New Army desires to be the preferred line of clothing for men who are ready to go out into the world and make a difference as the future leaders and decision-makers of the world.
